Tan
Sri Lim, Wee Chai
Chairman of the Board of
Trustee |
Tan Sri Lim Wee Chai graduated
with a Bachelor of Science Degree
with Honours in Physics from
University Malaya in 1982, and
obtained his Master of Business
Administration from Sul Ross State
University in Texas, United States
in 1985.
In 1991, Tan Sri Lim founded Top
Glove Sdn Bhd, a rubber glove
manufacturing and trading business
which started with only three
production lines. Under Tan Sri
Lim’s visionary stewardship, Top
Glove has since grown to be the
world’s largest rubber glove
manufacturer, capturing about 26% of
the world market share. Today, the
company owns and operates 22
factories with 10,000 employees and
a total of 447 production lines in
Malaysia, Thailand and China. These
factories have a production capacity
of 40 billion pieces of gloves per
annum, to meet the demand of over
1,000 customers in more than 185
countries.
Tan Sri was elected as the President
of the Malaysia Rubber Glove
Manufacturers’ Association (MARGMA)
from 1997 to 1999, and was appointed
as a Federation of Malaysian
Manufacturers Council member for
2010/2011. He was the recipient of
many awards and accolades, among
others, like the prestigious Master
and Country Entrepreneur of Malaysia
for the Year, by Ernst and Young in
2004; and Entrepreneur of the Year
at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship
Awards 2008. In 2007, the Yang
di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia
conferred on him the Darjah
Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota (P.S.M.),
which carries the title "Tan Sri"
for his vast contribution to the
nation’s economic development.

Mr Lee was appointed as Trustee
of Top Glove Foundation since its
inception. Mr Lee is currently, the
Managing Director of Top Glove Group
of Companies.
He obtained his Bachelor of Commerce
Degree from the University of New
South Wales, Australia in 1982
majoring in Accounting, Finance and
Information System. In 1991, he
obtained his Bachelor of Law Degree
from the University of London
(External Degree).
He has more than twelve (12) years
of experience in the marketing of
financial services and credit
control operations in the finance
industry. In 1997, Mr Lee joined Top
Glove as the General Manager in
charge of the marketing and
promotion of the Company’s products
to more than one hundred and eighty
(180) countries worldwide. He has
been actively involved in the local
Malaysian Rubber Glove
Manufacturers’ Association (MARGMA)
and the regional Asean Rubber Glove
Manufacturers’ Association (ARGMA)
for more than 10 years. Mr Lee is
the immediate Past President of
MARGME for the year 2009 to 2011.
Concurrently, Mr. KM Lee is a Board
Member of the Malaysian Rubber
Export Promotion Council, the
Malaysia Rubber Board and Committee
Member of LGM Properties Corporation
and LGM Investment.

Prof. Tou Teck Yong
Trustee |
Prof. Tou was appointed as
Trustee of Top Glove Foundation
since its inception.
Prof. Tou obtained his Bachelor’s
and PhD degree in physics at
University Malaya, Malaysia. His
academic and research career at
universities in Malaysia and
Australia cover the fields of
plasma, lasers, silicon, organic
LED, thin films and characterisation
techniques. He is also Fellow of
Academy of Sciences Malaysia and
Fellow of Institute of Physics
Malaysia.
Prof. Tou has more than twenty-five
(25) years experiences in academic
field having worked as a
Postdoctoral Fellow in The
Australian National University from
1987 to 1989, and a Research Fellow,
Lecturer, Assoc. Prof., in
University Malaya from 1989 to 1999.
In 1999, he joined Universiti
Multimedia as a Professor in the
Faculty of Engineering.
Prof. Tou is concurrently an
Independent Non-Executive Director
of Mikro Msc Berhad. |

Dato’ Ooi Sang Kuang
Trustee |
Dato’ Ooi was appointed as
Trustee of Top Glove Foundation on 7
April 2011.
Dato’ Ooi Sang Kuang is currently a
Special Advisor in Bank Negara
Malaysia. Dato’ Ooi was Deputy
Governor and a member of the Board
of Directors of Bank Negara
Malaysia, from 2002 to June 2010. As
Deputy Governor, he was responsible
for the sectors covering Monetary
and Economy Assessment, Reserves
Management and Monetary Operations
and Finance and Operational Support.
Dato’ Ooi was a member of the
Monetary Policy Committee, the Risk
Management Committee, the Financial
Stability Committee and the Reserve
Management Committee in the Bank.
Dato’ Ooi received a Bachelor of
Economics (Hons) degree from the
University of Malaya and Master of
Arts (Development Finance) from
Boston University, USA; joined the
Economics Department of Bank Negara
Malaysia in 1971 and held various
senior positions in the Department
before leaving in 1984 to join the
private sector.
Dato’ Ooi is concurrently Chairman
of the Board of Directors of Cagamas
Berhad, the national mortgage
corporation; Cagamas HKMC Berhad,
Cagamas Holdings Berhad, Cagamas MBS
Berhad and the Malaysian Electronic
Clearing Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (MyClear).
He is also a Fellow Member of the
Institute of Bankers Malaysia. |

Mr Oh was appointed as Trustee of
Top Glove Foundation on 7 April
2011.
Mr. Oh, a Financial Accountant was
previously working with a
multinational company for more than
twenty-five (25) years. He has a
wide range of experience in
different specialties including
accounting, credit services, IT,
Sales, Financial Counsel and Plant
Accounting. Mr Oh was assigned
special projects during his career,
one of which required him to set up
credit services for one of the
subsidiary companies in Indonesia in
1996. In 1997, he was appointed the
Y2K team leader to spearhead the
smooth transition of all IT,
Production and Automated systems and
had led Six Sigma Green Belt
projects.
Mr Oh currently holds the position
of Investment & Financial Advisor of
a private limited company. |
